Take 2: Brederode castle-Haarlem-Hillegom-Keukenhof 15.05.2013
Ok I did it again!!!!:-DDD
I thought The weather will stay awful but no!! around 15:00 today it changed amazingly!
So I jumped on my bike and went to Brederode castle. I thought it was reopen to public but it's not..
I met one of the initiatives, a very nice guy!
They will be back in the summer. till then, the castle will be open in special occasions, such as Pinksterdag.
I biked from Brederode through Bergweg - a magical forest like road, next to the Zuid Kennemerland national park.
Then through Overveen area. A very nice roads and streets. not to mention beautiful houses and gardens! I biked at Aerdenhout area which was also very tidy and beautiful and so much fun to bike!
Finally I reached to Hillegom and the keukenhof Tulips fields again! just like yesterday and
took a brand new session of photos!!!! The sky was amazing and added a lot of atmosphere.
I enjoyed every second of being surrounded by those colorful lollipops from nature!
Soon I will create a bike route trip, the one I took today and put it on my website and also on Trip advisor!
I had a perfect ending for this day as I returned to Haarlem, me and my best friend took a train to Zandvoort to watch the sunset and I took pictures on every stage of it! I will put it in a new post!
Enjoy!!

Haarlem-Bennebroek-Keukenhof 14.05.2013
Amsterdam was so grey with dark clouds as if a huge storm is coming. A friend of mine living in Haarlem told me I should come over cause there the sky is amazing.. I didn't believe him but I had nothing else to do so I took my bike on the train and went there.. He was right!! It was unbelievable! Blue sky, sheepy clouds! just the way I like it.
So I took the first picture at 12:02 ...
At around 13:00 you could feel it's not the same.. it became much colder and darker and half an hour later, a total match with Amsterdam as I left it:-D This is how it goes here..
But! I managed to take nice pictures though!
Ofc I couldn't predict what's gonna happen, so we thought it's the best sky to bike to the Tulips fields next to Keukenhof.
From Haarlem, through Bennebroek, Hillegom, Lisse and Keukenhof.
On the way we stumbled upon the Ford museum! I didn't know there was any especially in The Netherlands, but it's there! We thought it's a vehicle shop..:-D
The Tulips fields were amazing.. sorry that it looks a bit depressing, but if the sky of Haarlem would have last for one more hour, it would look heavenly!
We didn't plan to get inside the gardens of Keukenhof cause we saw enough Tulips on the way, but my friend never been there before so he thought it's one of those you need to mark 'check' before you die:-D
So we did! It was raining, pretty light rain but still I didn't want to risk my lens and camera so I took pictures as much as I could.
If there will be a nice day in the next following days, I will comeback and retake all the Tulips fields pictures:-]

Heerlijkheid Brederode castle - 09.05.2013
As a castle fan and long time Stronghold kingdoms and all stronghold games for years, I always like visiting castles.
I Discovered a nice castle ruins not far from Haarlem, in a lovely area called Santpoort-zuid.. So I took the train and biked there.
I have to say, it was love at first sight!! A really amazing castle! The colors of the structure are stunning!
Brederode castle is the first national monument of the Netherlands! It was founded around the 13 century by Willem I of Brederode. The name of the castle derives from the words woodland (wide rod).
The castle was closed to visitors and just reopened today! Check the opening times at the official website. I was only able to see the castle from the outside. There's only little to see from the surrounding area as it is owned by private hands..
Because I didn't want to go home and it was such a beautiful day, I biked in the Zuid-Kennemerland national park. A very nice forest with bike and pedestrian paths and a huge area to explore.
It reaches all the way to the sea.

On my way back home, I decided to go through the Weesperzijde in Amsterdam cuase I had a hunch I wil lfind something to take picture of.. And I DID! :-P
These tulips are a triumph with all that colors!! that's what I love so much.
So go look for those Tulips in the wild now! They are there waiting to be discovered, enjoy and fall in love with!

Durgerdam-Ransdorp 29.04.2013
Queen's day weekend was the busiest I ever had.. with work and stuff. But when a beautiful day comes along, I never turn my back to it, even when I'm really tired! I just have to take my daily portion of some wind, sun, and green landscape!
I hade couple of hours to enjoy this day so I biked to Durgerdam - my ultimate escape from the city. it's only 7 km from my house.. something like 15-20 mins biking! :-]
Enjoy! and happy Queen-King's day!!! <3

Muiden and Weesp 27.04.2013
A beautiful day have arrived and I jumped on my bike to my favorite place ever: Muiden:-]
My all time Top 5 happened in one day: Beautiful sky, cold wind, sun, my bike and my camera!
I started my trip in Weesp and then Muiden.
I ran into a nice young guy that was kiting and I felt with this background setting, I have to take a picture! I even thought of a title for this one: fighting in the winds of freedom :-P
I showed it to him and he liked it. So I hope you're reading this and like the picture on the big screen. Btw - I know that here is small size, but I will upload a super size to my Panormaio tomorrow!
The first sunset was taken from my attic two days ago!
And the second one is from yesterday from the same spot!
